wedding soon?

So, yeah. We're thinking that we may actually be able to get married soon-THATS RIGHT! Believe it or NOT, its not looking like our wedding will be before the year 2025!!!!!!

Well, I've been keeping up with the status of the cases for K-1 Visa's on Visa Journey for a while now, and from those sources, I was assuming since things seemed to be going faster with getting interviews in Montreal, that we may just have one in April or May. Everyone's been bugging me to email the Montreal Consulate (the folks who schedule the interview)-and so even though I knew they wouldn't email me back, I did finally email them:

Dear MONTREAL CONSULATE GENERAL:

My lawyer sent back his packet 3 information on January 29, 2008, on behalf of (my fiance). I wanted to confirm receipt of his Packet 3 information as we have had problems in the past with mailing in Canada. Thank you so much for your time.

Sincerely,

(my fiance & me)

So, I got the regular Automated reply of course-saying of course, that they would not be sending a personal reply.

TWO HOURS LATER, I get this:

YES WE DID RECEIVE IT YOU SHOULD BE REVEIVING AN APPOINTMENT IN APRIL OR MAY

Haha-reveiving, can you tell they were in a hurry!?

Anyhoo-so, I'm kind of expecting to get an interview date soon-and once I do....IT'S ON. Wedding planning central. Ya know?

So, I've had to decide what in the heck I'm going to do as far as a wedding goes. At first-it was like I was inviting everyone I knew...and had a 250+ people wedding invite list. Then, I realized there is no budget for that. So I whacked the list down to like 50, and realized I wanted a bit more than that. SO, finally-due to budget & just NOT having much money to work with, I had to decide on about 100-130 or so. I hate it because I really want everyone there...but I just can't afford having a 250+ people wedding. :(

So, I still have to figure out where we'll have the rehearsal dinner, invitations, tuxes, ect ect ect ect ect.

And I'm in CANADA right now, that makes things SUPER easy, right!? haha.

I dreampt about my weddin' last night-lots. I guess I'm starting to get super excited about it. I could care less about a big fancy reception, or anything really---ALL I care about is an important romance filled day with Steve-making lifelong vows to each other. :)

We've been waiting for over 15 months......whats another 2 or 3? RIGHT?

Peace

Terrible night...

Tonight was TERRIBLE....when I left, it was a tiny light snowfall, no biggie. Then on the highway, it just kept getting increasingly heavier and I hit a snowsquall as I was going down this steep hill...on the highway where there were no street lamps. It was whiteout conditions (where the snow falls so fast you can't even see the lines or sides of the road) and you couldn't see even a foot in front of you. Thats when the massive king cab truck in front of me violently spun out of control. I hit the breaks (lightly-because u just can't slam on the breaks on the snow as you know) and the car would NOT slow..

.so I'm plummeting towards the truck & cars behind it and the car started wobbling like it was about to spin-but thanks to GOD (and me screaming at God to PLEASE LET THE CAR SLOW...and I swear-the song 'JESUS TAKE THE WHEEL' by carrie underwood came into my head at that exact moment lol)...I was okay...even though I still couldn't see an inch in front of the car...somehow I made it.

Then on my way back...the roads had melted the snow...but it was a SOLID sheet of ice...I've NEVER seen the roads like that before-SO WEIRD-but we made it. I'm not gonna drive again for DAYS. I want HOME!!!!!!!!!
